My Love Story

I know what it’s like to wonder if love will ever find you again. After my divorce, I spent eight years single—praying, healing, and doing the inner work to truly open my heart. I asked God to send me the partner who was meant for me, but I also prepared myself to receive that blessing.

In 2017, in the most unexpected way, God answered. Through a simple Facebook comment on a mutual friend’s post, I met the man who would one day become my husband. At first, it was casual, he would send me random “Hope you’re having a good day” texts that always lifted my spirit. One day, I looked at his page, and deep in my spirit, I knew: this is someone I’m meant to know more deeply.

Eventually, I took a leap and asked if he wanted to talk. That first conversation lasted two hours, and we never stopped talking after that. For two years we navigated a long-distance relationship me in Atlanta, him in Los Angeles, grateful that my work travel often brought me closer to him. God orchestrated every detail.

In 2019, I moved to California. In 2020, in the middle of COVID, we had the most beautiful, intimate wedding in the park. I was 51 years old, standing in my wedding dress, proof that even in uncertain times, it is never too late for love.

​

The theme of our wedding was exactly that: It’s never too late. My husband had also been married before, so we were both walking into this marriage with wisdom, growth, and hearts open to a new chapter.

This is why I created Finding Love in Your 50s, to help other women prepare, believe, and position themselves for the love they desire. Because if God could do it for me, He can do it for you too.
